Marina Bay Sands is Singapore’s first casino, and is being developed by one of the world’s biggest gambling companies, Las Vegas Sands, at Marina South in central Singapore. In addition to the casino, other key components are three 50-storey hotels towers, each containing 1,000 rooms, and linked by a two acre sky garden that bridges the three towers, an iconic Arts and Sciences Museum and a convention centre capable of accommodating over 52,000 people. 

Soil Dynamics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. won an order for Bi-Directional Static Load Testing where a total of 7 pile tests were carried out for the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort Development (North Podium).  The pile sizes for the tests ranged from 1,800mm in diameter to 2,800mm, with a test load up to 9,220 tonnes. The tests were carried out in 2008.
